The Interstate 205 Bridge is formally named the Glenn Jackson Bridge. Pre-cast segmental construction – huge concrete blocks held together by tensed steel cable - was used to build the spans, an unusual method used on fewer than a dozen bridges in North America. A familiar feature of the Northwest landscape, Tidewater Marine, is the largest inland marine transportation company west of the Mississippi River.
Canada geese are very common due to two National Wildlife Refuge Areas in Clark County. |
